Knights Templar Sword

The original crusader sword had a 43 inch blade weighed around 6 kilos and you needed to be over 6 foot tall to be able to use it effectively. One cut from the double edged sword would often kill you, as the sword was almost certainly rusty which would cause infections often resulting in death.

17th Century Knights Templar Pillow sword used on board a ship. The sword would be put under your pillow at night so that if you were awaken in the night you could arm yourself quickly with a sword designed for short combat.

Our modern day knights Templar sword is ceremonial with symbolic meanings in the style and shape together with a secret 9ct gold symbolic badge on the leather scabbard (not shown). The sword today is a symbol of membership of the Knights Templar and symbolises honour.
